Michael C Hughes
Managing Director
Did Ran a design & printing business out in the Far East, dealing with advertising and publishing agencies; created one of the first on-line adventure travel directories, before starting Wild Dog Design in 1996.
Does A Managing Director that is still to be found at the coal face of design; never so happy as when at the project brief, getting to understand the client’s project and working with his wonderful team (thanks boss) to conceptualise the design solution.
Loves His ‘bear sized’ Newfoundland dog Wolfie (who has his very on 'car ramp'), B&W photography, swimming, claret and, naturally, his family.
Is most likely to tell the most amazing stories about his time in the North Pole (although you'll have to get him drunk to hear the best versions)
JP Rowe
Production Director
Did From photographic roots, JP managed MFI’s design studio and survived a three year sentence in a traditional repro company. John-Paul was coaxed by the WD founder to make up the two man team that was Wild Dog all those years ago – old skool!
Does In addition to building websites and brochures, JP takes care of all things technical (we think he may actually be able to talk to computers). He also won the WD beard growing competition with his ‘action man’ style beard. nice
Loves Creating anything in Flash and playing guitar in his band to a pub full of people. Rock 'n' Roll (he has long hair and everything).
Is most likely to say something which will have everyone in the studio rolling around on the floor – although we couldn’t possibly repeat it.
Simon Avery
Senior Designer
Did Started out on magazines in London before seeing the light and working in Brighton on digital and print projects for the last 10 years.
Does As the Senior Designer Simon’s responsible for winning new clients, keeping existing ones happy and making sure everything leaving the busy studio looks like it should (no pressure).
Loves When not living the dream that is working at WD he can usually be found up a rock face, hanging out with the fish under the west pier or in the pub.
Is most likely to be the last man standing at the xmas party, and last in the next day.
Liz Squire
Account Manager
Did She’s done her bit for charity working for a digital media arts and film organisation.
Does Keeps all the clients happy and well fed, handles all the WD logistics and knows where everything is - we don’t like it when she isn’t here.
Loves Horses, horses, horses! She even has one of her own, competes all over the country and occasionally has to get up at 5am to feed him.
Is most likely to be galloping with the wind in her hair on the South Downs. Did we mention she likes horses?
Ilona Elias
Designer/Artworker
Did After graduating at the Graphic Design College in Eindhoven, The Netherlands in 2000, Ilona moved to London in search of greater things. After working in the big smoke for various publishers and scooping up a PPA award for best new designer, she bumped into Simon in the pub and the rest is history.
Does She's versatile as they come happily swinging both ways between artwork and design.
Loves Jack Bauer and Metallica. Any books, series and films to do with mafia (don't ask). Shopping, especially in the sale. Travelling places no one else she knows has ever been.
Is Most likely to remain the only member of the WD team to have been recruited in a pub.
Rachel Barker
Designer/Artworker
Did Worked and challenged herself across a broad spectrum in the design world from graphic design, managing a print bureau to being a studio manager. A strong travel designer working with clients such as Virgin, Thomson and Austravel.
Does Anything that is thrown her way and is renowned for her speedy artworking skills and will happily plough through a brochure or two.
Loves Countryside walks, music (listening and playing), taking in the sea air and her everlasting goldfish Jagger.
Is Most likely to have different colour hair for each season.
Stéphane Nicolas

Does Keeps a look out for exciting new projects and clients for Wild Dog and makes sure that existing clients know all about our wonderful work and new ideas.
Loves Making cardboard rockets, Lego vehicles and cakes (mud and edible varieties) with her kids. Relaxing after all that with grown-up nights - good food, company & a large glass of wine please.
Is Making a list and crossing off as much as she can…
Lyn Bristow
